Not only will you have the opportunity to visit some of the world’s most impressive viewing points for the Northern Lights but hopefully you may catch sight of the unpredictable phenomena. Aurora Borealis as they are also known are one of the Seven Natural Wonders of the world which is no surprise that people from far and wide flock to witness their captivating beauty. Day 1 -
Join your Aurora Borealis Cruise

Depart the UK (from Gatwick or Heathrow) on a flight to Tromsø, on arrival transfer to your Aurora Borealis cruise. After check-in enjoy dinner in the ship’s informal restaurant, which serves 5 star cuisine that is produced from fresh local ingredients.
The evenings of your Northern Lights cruise can be spent gazing into the sky from the warmth and comfort of the ship’s panoramic lounge, or outside on the observation deck. At the ships purser's desk you can request to be notified if the Northern Lights appear whilst you are asleep.

Day 2 -
North Cape
|
Remember to keep an eye on the sky for the Aurora Borealis as you sail towards Honningsvåg. Here you join an optional excursion to the North Cape, which is the northernmost point of mainland Europe.

Day 3 -
Kirkenes
|
The next port of call is the fascinating town of Kirkenes, which is next to the Russian border. There are numerous optional excursions available in Kirkenes including husky safaris, snowmobiling and a guided tour of the Kirkenes Snow Hotel. (Snow Hotel does not open until January) At this point of the voyage the ship turns and sails south, visiting the ports which were only seen during the night on the northbound journey.

Day 4 -
Hammerfest
|
This is the world's most northerly town and is your first major stop, before continuing to Tromso for a chance to hear the midnight concert in the Arctic Cathedral.

Lofoten Islands
|
Toady you will pass through the legendary Lofoten Islands as the ship navigates along an intricate network of inlets and isles on one of the most spectacular and beautiful stretches of the Norwegian coast.

Day 6 -
Arctic Circle
|
After crossing the Arctic Circle you will sail majestically past the peaks of the Seven Sisters as you enter a world of legends and folklore.

Trondheim
|
You will arrive early in the morning to the medieval city of Trondheim where you will have a chance to explore the 14th Century Nidaros Cathedral before your cruise takes you further south.

Bergen
|
Your Aurora Borealis cruise ends in Bergen in the afternoon, after disembarking transfer to your centrally located hotel for an overnight stay.
