This holiday includes one night in one of the ICEHOTEL’s glistening arctic suites, which are made entirely of ice. For the rest of your stay you will be in the ICEHOTEL’s cosy bungalow accommodation. Day 1 -
Arrive Kiruna and Snowmobile Safari

Arrive in Kiruna where you will bet met and transferred by minibus to the world’s largest ICEHOTEL, in the village of Jukkasjärvi. The ICEHOTEL is an incredible and awe-inspiring achievement which is rebuilt every year using thousands of tons of snow and ice. Following your check-in you have time to refresh before experiencing your first arctic adventure – an electrifying snowmobile safari in search of the Northern Lights. During this unforgettable journey over glistening fells and through snow-covered forests you will stop for dinner, which is cooked on an open fire at a wilderness hut. If you are lucky your safari will be illuminated by the extraordinary Northern Lights, which are considered to be one of the seven natural wonders of the world. After a hearty dinner underneath Lapland’s starlit sky you will remount your snowmobile and drive back to the ICEHOTEL, where you will be spending the night in a snow room. You will be sleeping on a bed made of ice, which is insulated by a reindeer skin blanket. The temperature in the ice room is normally around -5°C to -8°C, but you will be kept warm in a padded sleeping bag.

Day 2 -
Sami Culture,with Reindeer

Wake up and enjoy a warming cup of hot lingonberry juice, which you will find on your bedside. Then enjoy breakfast and warm up in the ICEHOTEL’s sauna before you prepare for today’s excursions. Firstly you will be taken to a Sami camp located in the outskirts of Jukkasjärvi where you will learn about Sami culture and how to manoeuvre a reindeer and sledge. Dinner will be a traditional Sami meal cooked on an open fire and served in a lavvo (a traditional Sami tent). Return to the ICEHOTEL for dinner and a relaxing evening spent soaking up the magical atmosphere of Swedish Lapland. The ICEHOTEL is situated above the Arctic Circle which means that you are more likely to see the natural phenomena, which is also known as the Aurora Borealis. If you are lucky tonight you may be able to witness the dazzling curtains of green, red and yellow lights strike across the night sky, surround by twinkling stars. Overnight stay in a warm Kaamos (non ice) Room in an adjacent building.

Day 3 -
Husky safari
|
Enjoy a delicious breakfast before spending the morning experiencing some of the incredible arctic activities available in Lapland (pre-booking recommended) such as moose safaris, ice sculpting and snowshoe trekking. In the early afternoon you will meet an enthusiastic team of huskies who will take you on a thrilling ride across the frozen lakes, on what will no doubt be an unforgettable arctic adventure. Spend your last evening in the phenomenal winter wilderness of Lapland relaxing in the hotels grounds which will hopefully be graced with a breathtaking Northern Lights display. The final night of your holiday will be spent in a warm Kaamos Room.

Day 4 -
Depart Kiruna
|
Enjoy a final breakfast in Lapland before checking out of the ICEHOTEL, you will be transferred to the Kiruna Airport by mini bus where you will board a return flight to the UK.
