Iceland : Iceland and the Northern Lights
Be mesmerised by Iceland's natural beauty and the Northern Lights on this short break to Iceland. This stunning and diverse country has something for everybody, from lively Reykjavik's nightlife to the quieter National Parks. The Northern Lights can be seen throughout the months of October - March, during clear weather conditions. Although we cannot guarantee a sighting with this itinerary you will have one of the best chances that you will ever get. The Northern Lights bus tour takes you away from the light pollution of the city in search of this magnificent light display.

In the morning we start our city tour of Reykjavik at the hotel's reception. You will see the worlds oldest parliament, the modern Hallgrinskirkjs church and the picturesque lake in the centre of the city, which is inhabited with numerous waterfowl and modern suburbs. The modern architecture contrasts with the older parts of the city, which features colourful little houses and much more.
At 11.30hrs we take you to visit the Blue Lagoon and drive through the rough lava fields. Make sure you take your costume as you can relax in the warm geothermal waters, which are very natural and rich in minerals that are believed to have magical healing powers.
In the evening we have something special arranged for you - you will be picked up from the hotel to go in search of the Northern Lights by bus. The Aurora Borealis or Northern Lights are one of the natural wonders of the world - these waves of dancing colours across the clear dark skies are a sight not to be missed. Although we cannot guarantee that you will witness them, this excursion increases your chances by taking you to where there are clear skies.
